Today I’ve got a couple more skirt for sale to show you. First up is a tiny Whitney skirt. When I sewed up the original girl’s Whitney skirt, I had enough fabric left to make a smaller version, a 3T. That’s the only difference between the two skirts, size. And somehow it’s even cuter in the smaller size! Buy it in the Etsy shop here.
The other skirt is the Hazel. When we originally reviewed the Hazel skirt, we said it was a great way to showcase different fabrics from the same line, and that’s what we’ve done here. Both these fabrics are designed by Bonnie Christine for Art Gallery Fabrics. We’ve used them once before for the Butterfly Blouse and Skirt.
We paired these two fabrics with some Cotton + Steel double gauze leftover from making my Granville shirt. This skirt is lovely in person. If only you could reach through your screen and touch it!
With the Hazel skirt, you can have 3 looks in one skirt. There’s the skirt with no apron, the skirt with the double gauze apron side up, and the skirt with the mint side up. If she spills on herself, no problem, just switch the apron around and she’s good to go!
We made this skirt in a size 7 so Annie could model it.
She tried it out and declared it twirl-worthy and comfortable and fun! Hopefully some little girl will be able to get some wear from it and love it as much as Annie did when she tried it on.
Annie loves this skirt, and the other Hazel skirt too, but her closet is getting quite stuffed with skirts, and we have a goal we are working toward, so this Hazel skirt is available in our Etsy shop. See you there!
