Hello to those of you stopping by on the “Not Just A Sunsuit” tour. Ajaire, of Call Ajaire, created the Paneled Sunsuit patterns. Now sunsuits are great for summer, but Ajaire wanted to show everyone the many, many options that come with the Paneled Sunsuit pattern. We chose to make the maxi skirt, of course, because we love skirts! The Paneled Sunsuit pattern comes in 15 sizes from newborn to 12. There are 10 different views to choose from when making this pattern. If your child spans several different sizes (like Annie; she’s tall and slender) there are helpful instructions for choosing which sizes to use, and how to blend between sizes. Because there are so many different options, Ajaire included a print guide so you only have to print the pages you need. (Thanks, Ajaire!) The maxi skirt from Paneled Sunsuit was easy to make, and the instructions were very thorough and easy to follow. This maxi skirt takes around a yard of fabric, depending on the size you are making. There are a plethora of fabrics that could be used to make the Paneled Sunsuit, but we chose an embroidered denim we had in our stash. The only other thing we needed was elastic. (Well there was thread and the sewing machine, of course!)The reason we chose denim for the maxi skirt from the Paneled Sunsuit pattern is because we’re always on the lookout for denim skirt patterns. And this pattern worked perfectly for it! Annie’s favorite part of this skirt is the pockets. I know exactly how she feels because I love a skirt with pockets too.
The Paneled Sunsuit has so many great options and different looks, so be sure to follow along on the “Not Just A Sunsuit” blog tour to see all the magnificent version. Just yesterday there was another denim skirt on the tour, and you KNOW how excited we were to see that!
