We’re back with another awesome Jocole skirt made with wonderful Urban Sew knit fabric. This week we sewed up the Jocole Knit Pencil Skirt. This skirt just emphasizes what we’ve been saying all along about Jocole skirt patterns; good, basic, comfortable, wardrobe builders. The Jocole Knit Pencil Skirt gives you every possible fitting option to create a nice, well-fitting knit pencil skirt for yourself. There are so many different options on ways to make this skirt, 3 different waistbands, 2 different waist heights, and 8 different lengths!
We chose a delicious grey and yellow striped knit fabric from Urban Sew to make this skirt. This is the perfect weight knit for a pencil skirt, not too thin, good drape, medium weight, and oh so soft! Matching up the stripes on the sides was easy and rewarding!!
Using striped fabric to make the Jocole pencil skirt adds even more options to your ways to sew the Jocole Knit Pencil Skirt. You can orient the stripes horizontally, like we chose to this time, or you could orient them vertically for a mod, slimming look, or the pattern even shows how to layout the pattern pieces to achieve a chevron pattern in the front and back! Very cool, huh?
