Sundress Refashion – Hacked to Happy!

sundress refashion

On this fab remake, I started with a plaid dress that we had been gifted by Grandma B. It had been a dress, I think, but I can’t be sure because what had been the top had been hacked off or something, and just the waistband and skirt were left.

hacked off sundress Hacked-off possible sundress- large potential!

I immediately saw the skirt potential, and started right off. Here’s the steps.

  1. Cut off a few of the waistband layers so that I wouldn’t have a MASSIVE waistband!
  2. Rolled over and sewed the top of the waistband.

Fun new plaid skirt!!  Hello kitty photobomber!

Hey!!! Wow!! I nearly had a heart attack, it was so easy! Now I have a fun skirt that I can pair with lots of shirts and shoes!

Total Cost: $0 (Thanks Grandma!)

Talent Level: Beginner Seamstress

The sundress skirt is one of the most easy remakes in the world! I love what I ended up with, it totally reminds me of a barn dance, so you have a picture of me barn dancing it up!!
